Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher to support kindergarten through 12th grade students under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. You will provide quality services, participate in planning, and collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs.

The role requires a valid teaching certificate, a bachelor’s degree, and compliance with state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State Teacher Certification types as specified in the minimum requirements.
• Endorsement LBS1 preferred.
• Complies with relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, K–12.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs.
• Collaborate with general education staff on instruction and consultation.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching

Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
