Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve K–12 students under the district guidelines, collaborating with the Special Education Program Administrator. The role emphasizes quality services, planning, and team participation to support individual student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and valid state teaching certificate.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements and be at least 18 years old.
• Endorsements and CPR/health screenings as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Program Administrator and team on planning and implementing student programs.
• Deliver special instruction and provide tutorial assistance.
• Consult with general education staff to support inclusion and progress.

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

State teaching certificate (required by state)

Endorsement: LBS1 (preferred)

Standard Elementary Teaching certificate (preferred)
