Job summary

Gloucester County Institute of Technology is seeking a part-time Performing Arts set designer to collaborate with the director and creative team on cohesive set design for productions. You will render concepts, create build plans, and coordinate furniture, props, and lighting elements to realize the show design.

Responsibilities include attending production meetings and being available to the creative team and builders to ensure successful realization of the set design.

Qualifications

• Works collaboratively with director to create a cohesive set design for the show.
• Completes renderings for the director and creative team.
• Creates build plans as needed for the construction of the set.
• Works with props designer to ensure furniture and set dressings are procured and executed.

Responsibilities

• Works with lighting designer on any practicals used on the set.
• Attends production meetings.
• Makes themselves available to creative team and builder/td to ensure successful realization of set design.
