Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in outpatient settings in Oregon. You will assist with rehab activities, monitor progress, and educate patients on home programs.

Ideal candidates have an accredited PTA program, current licensure eligibility, and strong communication skills to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment focused on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in the state of employment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work collaboratively in a clinical setting.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Using devices such as walkers or braces to support patient movement and reduce pain.
• Observing and documenting patient progress, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educating patients and families on home exercise programs, wellness strategies, and post-treatment care.
• Preparing and maintaining therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Supporting patient transfers and mobility within the clinic or rehabilitation environment.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
