Job summary

PRN seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to work with a team of physical therapists, implementing prescribed plans and guiding patients through exercises. You will monitor progress, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and participate in team meetings to enhance care quality.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited PTA program credential, current PTA licensure, and experience with EMR systems. Collaboration and patient-centered care are key in this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• State licensure or certification as a PTA.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in assisting with therapeutic exercises and treatment modalities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Communicate with PTs regularly regarding patient progress.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor and record patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with PTs and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
