Job summary

Akraya, Inc. is seeking a highly customer-focused Collaboration Success Engineer to act as a technology consultant for internal customers, maximizing the value of SharePoint and Smartsheet.

The role is 90% customer-facing, involves guiding customers through solution design, governance, adoption, Box-to-SharePoint/OneDrive migrations, and providing Smartsheet workflows and dashboards. The position is a 6+ month contract, W2 only, in Sunnyvale, CA with hybrid/on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies, technology consulting, customer success, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint solution design, information architecture, governance, migration, and adoption.
• Strong Smartsheet experience, including workflow design, automation, dashboards, reporting, implementation, and optimization.
• Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, practical technology solutions.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to operate in a highly customer-facing environment.
• Nice-to-have: Box-to-SharePoint/OneDrive migrations; Asana or other platforms; technology adoption and change management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted consultant to internal customers, independently assessing business needs and translating them into practical SharePoint and Smartsheet solutions.
• Lead SharePoint solution design, information architecture, governance, access management, adoption, and Box-to-SharePoint/OneDrive migration initiatives.
• Provide Smartsheet consulting and solutioning, including business-process discovery, workflow design, automation, reporting, dashboards, implementation, and optimization.
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions, workshops, presentations, and stakeholder discussions while simplifying complex technology concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Manage multiple customer engagements independently from discovery through implementation and adoption, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and measurable business outcomes.
• Support broader collaboration and work-management technologies such as Asana, while contributing to solution standards, best practices, knowledge sharing, and platform adoption.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly customer-focused Collaboration Success Engineer to serve as a technology consultant supporting internal customers and maximizing the value of collaboration platforms, with a primary focus on SharePoint and Smartsheet. This role is approximately 90% customer-facing and requires strong consulting, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will guide customers through SharePoint solution design, information architecture, governance, adoption, and Box-to-SharePoint/OneDrive migrations, while also providing Smartsheet solutioning across business-process discovery, workflows, automation, reporting, dashboards, implementation, and optimization. This is not a traditional back-end SharePoint administration role; the successful candidate will combine technical expertise with customer success, change leadership, and business consulting.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to independently manage a portfolio of customer engagements from discovery through adoption. Strong business judgment with the ability to advise both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong consulting mindset with a passion for improving business outcomes through collaboration technology.
