Job summary

Third Space is seeking fully licensed Psychiatrists to serve as Collaborating/Supervising Physicians for PMHNPs. This primarily non-clinical role focuses on oversight and quality assurance in a fully remote care model for Medicaid populations. The position emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and community impact, allowing psychiatrists to shape their schedules while contributing meaningfully to the practice and the lives of patients in need of quality psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Provide required physician collaboration/supervision to assigned PMHNPs.
• Conduct regular chart reviews to ensure clinical quality and documentation integrity.
• Meet with PMHNPs to discuss complex cases and treatment planning.

Skills

Experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs

Strong clinical judgment across a range of psychiatric presentations

Comfort with telehealth models and EHR-based chart review

Education

Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Massachusetts

Board certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent)

Third Space Therapy combines the independence of private practice with the support of a group setting, focused on expanding Medicaid-covered behavioral healthcare.

We’re looking for passionate fully licensed Psychiatrists to serve as Collaborating / Supervising Physicians for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). This is a flexible, primarily non-clinical role focused on oversight, collaboration, and quality assurance within a fully remote care model serving Medicaid populations.

What you’ll need

• Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Massachusetts

• Board certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent)

What you'll do

• Provide required physician collaboration/supervision to assigned PMHNPs

• Meet with PMHNPs to discuss complex cases, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning

• Provide real-time and asynchronous consultation on challenging or escalating patient presentations

• Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, prescribing guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives
