Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Minnesota is seeking a warehouse associate to handle inbound/outbound shipments, inventory, and daily warehouse tasks in a cold environment. You will load, unload, pick orders, and maintain stock rotation while following safety and GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, using pallet jacks, and processing orders with attention to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move cases up to 6-8 high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and in a 35–40°F environment
• Flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• Minimum six months forklift experience and forklift/Pallet jack certification

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated area
• Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of all coolers and warehouse
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute to production workers
• Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and loading onto trucks/trailers
• Check all information for accurate shipment; check bills of lading for accuracy
• Use computer to scan or enter/maintain inventories and records
• Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backs
• Assist with monthly/year-end cycle counts and audits
• Monitor materials, products, and equipment and report irregularities to supervisor
• Operate forklift to load/unload and move inventory
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and follow GMPs and safety rules
• Other duties as required
