Job summary

Sysco is hiring for a warehouse associate to manage general warehouse functions including receiving, loading, unloading, and product selection in a freezer/cooler/dry environment. The role requires adherence to PWMs, safety rules, and accurate data entry using RF equipment.

Candidate will operate MHE (forklifts, pallet jacks), perform daily inspections, and maintain clean work areas. Certification in receiving and equipment operation is required or obtainable during employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience preferred; Crown and/or Raymond reach truck experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements.
• Enter/scan item receipt data (LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date) into WMS using RF equipment.
• Verify item information against bills of lading/invoices in the WMS.
• Inspect products for shortages, damage, or temperature abuse and report to supervisor.
• Record all overages, shortages and damages using the OS&D form.
• Verify refrigerated and frozen product temperatures per PWMs and follow procedures if out of range.
• Complete vendor compliance form during receipt per PWMs.
• Apply blind LPNs when needed and ensure proper operation of dock equipment.
