Job summary

FreshDirect in New York is seeking a Ground Operations Assistant in the Chill department. This role handles receiving, storage, inventory, and product replenishment while following GMP, with potential cross-department duties in picking, packing, and loading trucks.

The position requires operating a warehouse management system and RF devices, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety and cleanliness are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience using warehouse management systems and handheld devices.
• Must be comfortable with basic math skills.
• Must read and comprehend in English.
• Machinery experience for forklift or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming deliveries quickly and accurately using the warehouse management system.
• Move products between reserves and pick bins manually.
• Stock pick bins and reserves per work assignments.
• Adhere to standard rates and use pallet jacks and other handling equipment.
• Maintain FIFO organization and clean work areas.
