Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must possess basic math and computer skills.
• One year or more material handling experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to regularly stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
• Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Shipping, receiving and transporting packaging, ingredients, and finished goods for the facility.
• Observe all safety rules and use of PPE and material handling.
• Maintain forklifts by daily inspecting batteries, water levels, lights, horn, tires, mirrors, oil levels, backup beep indicators, etc.
• Verify deliveries/discrepancies by inspecting materials and counting against delivery receipts.
• Enter delivery receipts or material handling into the company system.
• Organize/rotate old materials with new.
• Daily housekeeping and fixing/removing damaged packaging or ingredients.
• Assist management with inventory balances through physical cycle counts.
• Label open/partial ingredients and packaging.
• Check production schedules daily to stage packaging and ingredients.
• Perform other warehouse and freezer duties.
• Must be able to operate all forklift equipment and be recertified annually.
