Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company, Inc. is a leading dairy producer focused on delivering wholesome cheese products worldwide. The Forklift Operator role supports shipping and receiving operations across our cheese plants, leveraging warehouse management systems and RF scanning.

Maintain safety, accuracy, and teamwork while handling duties in a cold environment. Required are forklift certification, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to work 8- to 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Proficient English: read, write, speak.
• Able to work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including weekends/holidays/overtime.
• Able to work in a cold environment (~35°F).
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience with warehouse systems and RF scanning.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate shipping and receiving of products.
• Organize products with emphasis on internal/external customer service.
• Operate equipment and report malfunctions.
• Follow safety measures and SOPs.
• Stage products before shipment and verify paperwork.
• Adjust quantities in the warehouse system as needed.
• Inspect incoming products for quality and proper labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness in the cold box and surrounding areas.
