Job summary

Pilgrim, Marshalltown, IA, seeks a COLD SIDE Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift. You will prioritize work orders, schedule mechanics, and monitor equipment across production areas to ensure continuous operation.

Responsibilities include skilled maintenance such as welding, brazing, plumbing and electrical work; participate in the HazMat team; enforce safety, complete paperwork, and attend scheduled meetings. Strong English communication and prior mechanical experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven mechanical experience in building, mechanical and electrical trades.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• 40+ hours per week in all plant areas.
• College experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to immediacy and necessity of orders.
• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.
• Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in HazMat team to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Arrange for completion of required paperwork, such as payroll.
• Attend meetings as scheduled or called.
