Plant Engineer/Plant Engineer and oversees maintenance in the Pork division on the 1st shift. You will prioritize work orders, schedule mechanics, and perform skilled maintenance including welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics; adjust, repair and replace electrical equipment; promote safety and participate in the plant's HAZMAT readiness; complete required

Qualifications

• 40+ hours per week in all plant areas.
• English verbal and written communication required.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices in building, mechanical and electrical trades.
• Previous mechanical experience required.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics.
• Monitor production areas for equipment functionality.
• Perform skilled maintenance including welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.
• Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in HAZMAT and promote safety.
• Arrange for payroll paperwork.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
