Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead in the Wilmington, IL area to coordinate and execute warehouse workflows, prioritize safety, and optimize productivity.

The role leads the Cold Crew, supports hiring decisions, and directs labor across shifts while ensuring accuracy in inventory and SOP compliance. You will supervise safety, respond to incidents, and work with HR on approvals and corrective actions, with opportunities to grow into higher responsibility as business

Qualifications

• Experience supervising warehouse operations, preferably in food/temperature-controlled environments.
• Proficiency with RF and warehouse software; MS Office suite.
• Detail-oriented, strong communication, problem solving, and math skills.
• Ability to lead multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced team.
• Proven ability to influence others and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute warehouse workflow, prioritizing safety, sanitation, and productivity.
• Lead the Cold Crew and cultivate positive staff relationships.
• Participate in hiring, promotions, terminations decisions.
• Supervise labor allocation, overtime approvals, and scheduling.
• Oversee safety incidents and complete incident logs.
• Engage in corrective actions and HR-guidance when needed.
• Improve labor efficiency through coaching and training.
• Oversee adherence to warehousing, food safety, SOPs, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving and manage docks; direct pallet flow.
• Use WMS to assign doors, tasks, inventory, and handle exceptions.
• Perform escalation and occasional Lead duties as needed.
• Occasionally perform Warehouse Associate duties as business requires.
