Job summary

Supera Fulfillment, LLC is seeking a Cold Chain Logistics Coordinator to own planning and execution of temperature-controlled outbound and inbound shipments. You will select packaging, refrigerants, service levels, and ensure compliant labeling and documentation for biological substances and dry ice.

You will monitor temperature loggers, coordinate carrier pickups, and manage real-time exceptions when weather or delays threaten shipments.

Qualifications

Job description

When a specimen shipment fails, the patient gets recollected and the lab loses a day. The Cold Chain Logistics Coordinator exists to make sure that doesn’t happen. You’ll own the planning and execution of temperature-controlled outbound and inbound shipments, selecting the right packaging configuration, refrigerant, and service level for each route and product.

You’ll build and validate pack-outs against qualified shipper profiles, apply and monitor temperature loggers, coordinate carrier pickups and recoveries, and manage exceptions in real time when weather or a carrier delay puts a shipment at risk. You’ll also handle the paperwork that regulated shipping demands – including compliant labeling and documentation for biological substances and dry ice.

Beyond the daily lane management, you’ll review temperature excursion data, identify patterns, and recommend packaging or routing changes that reduce risk. This is a role for someone who thinks two steps ahead of the truck.

Job Requirements

We need someone organized, calm under time pressure, and confident communicating with carriers and clients when a shipment goes sideways. Experience with regulated or temperature-sensitive freight is strongly preferred; general logistics experience plus a demonstrated ability to learn technical requirements will also be considered.

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or distribution coordination
• Working knowledge of small-parcel and freight carrier systems and service levels
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• Clear written and verbal communication with carriers, clients, and internal teams
• Proficiency with shipping software, spreadsheets, and inventory or order management systems
• Availability to respond to time-sensitive shipping issues outside standard hours as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Direct experience with cold chain packaging, refrigerants, and temperature monitoring devices
• IATA and/or DOT hazmat certification, including UN3373 biological substance and dry ice shipping
• Background in healthcare, clinical laboratory, or pharmaceutical logistics
• Experience investigating and documenting temperature excursions
