Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Facility Operations to lead a maintenance and sanitation team in a high-volume distribution environment. You will oversee cold chain integrity, regulatory compliance, and proactive preventive maintenance across multiple sites.

The role requires strong CMMS skills, budget management, and collaboration with QA, Safety, and vendor partners to deliver reliable service and energy-efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience in distribution/warehouse environments.
• 3 years working with refrigeration systems within cold chain distribution.
• Experience leading maintenance teams, managing budgets and vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor maintenance, sanitation, refrigeration, power equipment, and security using CMMS and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Oversee refrigeration systems to maintain temperature control for perishable products and coordinate with QA/ Food Safety teams.
• Manage facility operations activities, capital projects, and coordinate repairs and upgrades with other departments.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; manage labor hours and schedules within budget.
• Establish relationships with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements.
• Monitor asset inventories, life cycles, and recommend replacements to sustain efficiency.
• Coordinate with QA/sanitation to ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, GMPs and food safety protocols.
• Develop and manage facility budgets, identify cost reductions, and implement energy efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, and other regulations; support safety training and emergency planning.
