Job summary

Pilgrim Foodservice is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for the Colchester site, delivering to customers including routes into London. You will represent the company on the road, ensuring orders are delivered safely and professionally.

Role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card, with a safe driving record and a proactive, customer‑facing approach. Regular manual handling is involved.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card.
• Confidence driving in London and busy urban areas.
• Safe, responsible driving and vehicle care.

Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 on Colchester routes, including into London.
• Deliver food and other products to customers.
• Load and unload items up to 25kg.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Follow driving, road safety, Working Time Directive and food safety requirements.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Provide friendly, professional service and report issues.
