Job summary

U Value Insulation is seeking a full-time HGV driver in Uxbridge, London. You will drive pre-planned routes, perform vehicle checks, and ensure on-time deliveries to customers while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires a Class 2 licence, DQC, and helpful attitude to support branch staff; experience with multi-site deliveries and knowledge of our products are beneficial. Competitive benefits and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 2 valid licence.
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and tachograph knowledge.
• Experience with multi-site deliveries; positive can-do attitude.
• Willingness to support warehouse/yard duties as needed.
• Knowledge of our products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV truck on pre-planned routes.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Operate in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Report vehicle defects to line/branch manager.
• Complete tachograph and essential documents on time.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Ensure orders are correctly loaded with proper documentation.
• Obtain signatures on delivery notes per policy.
• Guard against theft and be security conscious.
• Perform other duties as required by the company.

(40 hour week)

Job Overview

U Value Insulation are now seeking to recruit a full-time HGV driver . Our drivers play an integral part in the day to day running of our business. Therefore, it is very important that our customers get their deliveries on time, every time. Our drivers provide a timely, friendly and dependable delivery service to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Driving our HGV truck on pre-planned routes:
• Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis.
• Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager.
• Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Build effective working relationships with customers.
• Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked.
• Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy.
• Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times.
• To perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.

• Hold a Class 2 valid licence
• Experience with Moffett is an advantage however training can be provided
• Driver Qualification Card (DQC)

• Willingness to support other members of branch staff with warehouse/yard or any other duties.
