Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to process material according to shop orders and customer requirements, while directing setup and helper personnel and coordinating coil staging with crane operators.

The role emphasizes safe operation of production equipment, precise documentation, and teamwork in a manufacturing/warehouse setting. Pay is $20-$24 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities to contribute to efficient production flow.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
Certification or training in forklift and crane operation preferred.

Responsibilities

Always work safely while processing material per shop orders and customer requirements.
Direct setup and helper personnel as needed and coordinate coil staging with crane operators.
Complete all required documentation, including shop orders, Slitter/CTL shift reports, and inspection sheets.
Use required tools and equipment, including measuring instruments (tape measure, vernier, micrometer) and production equipment (uncoiler, slitter head, crop shear, recoiler, tension stand, and related systems).
Set up and start jobs by reviewing shop orders, preplanning work, inspecting coils for damage, and measuring coil width.
