Job summary

EDCOAT, LLC in New Carlisle, IN is seeking a Materials Handler to join the Shipping team. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Shipping Supervisor and will receive, position, and move coils and raw materials for processing, packaging, and shipping.

You will operate a forklift or overhead crane, verify paperwork, stage shipments, and help ensure safe handling of hazardous materials. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and position raw materials for processing within the shipping department.
• Load and unload coils using a forklift or overhead crane and verify paperwork.
• Weigh and record coil weights and numbers on coils and paperwork.
• Package and stage shipments; operate coil upender or coil car as needed.
• Forward shipping paperwork to Production & Inventory Control.
• Ensure hazardous materials handling procedures are followed.
