Job summary

Hydro in Rockledge, FL is seeking a dedicated maintenance operator for the 3rd shift. You will inspect welded tube equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and operate cranes to move coils. Ensure produced material meets specs, use micrometers/calipers, and support inline annealing setups. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and interpret simple measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and printed instructions.

Responsibilities

• 3rd shift, 11pm-7am and perform inspection of equipment in the welded tube area.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and use cranes to handle coils.
• Ensure material conforms to specs and tolerances.
• Use measurement tools to verify tube OD, coil OD & ID.
• Operate hoists/cranes, keep work area clean, and follow safety protocols.
• Set up and monitor in-line annealing systems and related processes.
• Adhere to all company policies and maintain 5S standards.

What you will be doing

• 3rd shift, 11pm-7am
• Able to perform inspection of all equipment in the welded tube area including cranes, annealer, coiler, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Use jib crane or overhead crane to handle coils.
• Ensure that material being produced conforms to specs and tolerances. (level wind, OD, etc.)
• Use of measurement tools to measure tube OD, coil OD & ID, etc. (micrometers, tape measure, calipers, etc.)
• Operate hoist/cranes to remove material from coiler. (time sensitive)
• Keep the WIP warehouses area clean and organized.
• MRT material if found out of spec
• Set-up, adjust, and monitor in-line annealing system
• Packs material according to procedures and instructions
• Set-up, adjust, and monitor purging system
• Set-up, adjust, and monitor marking systems
• Breaks to be taken outside of production down time. (profile change outs, set changes)
• Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
• Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.

• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of process related standards.
