Zusammenfassung

Norsk Hydro in Florida is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect all welded tube area equipment, perform preventive maintenance and safely operate cranes to move coils.

You will ensure materials meet specs, record measurements with precision tools, and support inline annealing and material packaging while keeping the workspace clean and compliant with 5S, HSE and quality standards.

Qualifikationen

• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measures).
• Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and interpret simple reference materials such as printed instructions and blueprints.
• Excellent mental and visual attention for repetitive or varied work.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of process related standards.
• Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members

Aufgaben

• Inspect equipment in the welded tube area including cranes, annealer, coiler.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Use jib crane or overhead crane to handle coils.
• Ensure material produced conforms to specs and tolerances (level wind, OD).
• Use measuring tools to measure tube OD, coil OD & ID.
• Operate hoist/cranes to remove material from coiler (time sensitive).
• Keep the WIP warehouses area clean and organized.
• MRT material if found out of spec.
• Set up, adjust, and monitor in-line annealing system.
• Pack material according to procedures and instructions.
• Set up, adjust, and monitor purging system and marking systems.
• Follow 5S standards; adhere to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow.

What you will be doing

• Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
