Job summary

Bosch Group is seeking a production line assistant to support daily operations on a focused assembly line. You will help plan, assign, and direct work while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include interpreting schedules, coordinating with departments for material availability, and promoting 5S practices. The role requires reading blueprints and adaptability across multiple line areas.

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting daily operations on a specific assembly line. This

includes assisting supervisor with planning, assigning and directing work assignments, while

achieving quality and safety standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
  1. Ability to interpret Master Production Schedule, JIT reports, Kanban containers, etc., to determine area requirements.
  2. Be familiar with department performance goals and measurements and strive to meet or exceed goals.
  3. Familiarity with basic technical aspects of all jobs within the department.
  4. Must be able to meet requirements of all skilled positions.
  5. Monitor production standards and quality control measures.
  6. Work with supervisor to prioritize staffing assignments based on current Training Matrix.
  7. Coordinate with other departments to ensure part supply and availability.
  8. Ensure efficient and effective line handoff.
  9. Promote 5S culture.
  10. Lead by example.
  11. Provide daily summary to supervisor.
  12. Prepared to assess areas of high performance and low performance on the line, detailing key drivers of performance across all resource categories.
  13. Work with supervisor to provide value during Weekly Toolbox Talk meetings.

Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds, 1 to 30 times an hour to meet material handling requirements. Repetitive motion of hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders level and overhead. Rotating of upper body to lift and position parts as necessary due to department demands. Continuous visual and mental demand while operating fork truck, and while operating departmental equipment
