Job summary

EVAPCO, Inc. is seeking a production/operator to support manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced plant in Maryland. The role focuses on maintaining the production schedule, performing quality checks, and ensuring a safe, clean work area.

The candidate will perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, document production and quality data, and assist with tool adjustments to maintain high throughput and quality for tube bends. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Able to read engineering prints related to the process.
  • Basic shop math including fractions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain attendance.
  • Safety-focused and able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production schedule and ensure timely output.
  • Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and processes meet engineering requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PMs as required.
  • Complete all production and quality documentation.
  • Make stop and mandrel adjustments to produce quality bends of tube.
  • Operate controls and manage workload to minimize tooling changes and maximize throughput.
  • Ensure materials, parts and workmanship comply with engineering requirements.

  • Safe operation of all overhead lifting cranes and jib booms
  • Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
  • Read a tape measure to within 1/16"
  • A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
Physical Requirements
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing environment
  • Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
  • Lifting of 50 lbs. or less
  • Wear PPE when required - Manufacturing Areas
  • Shift work, days, (Monday through Friday) or nights (Monday through Thursday) and some Saturdays and Sundays
  • Assist in other areas of the shop when needed
