Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service, order-entry, or dispatch experience preferred.
• Building materials, metal products, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or transportation experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication and active-listening skills; comfortable spending a significant portion of the day on the phone.
• Ability to learn and retain detailed product knowledge and ERP/order-entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for coil and wholesale customers via phone and verbal communication in a professional, helpful, and timely manner.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of coil, panel, and accessory products, including materials, colors, gauges, profiles, packaging, lead times, and order requirements.
• Enter, review, and maintain accurate customer orders with specs, quantities, pricing, delivery or pickup details, and special instructions.
• Coordinate with sales, production, shipping, and customers to confirm order readiness, priorities, timing, and delivery expectations.
• Apply dispatch knowledge to plan coil-load shipments, including carrier communication, routing, scheduling, documents, and customer receiving requirements.
• Prepare and distribute order confirmations, pick-up paperwork, shipping documents, and invoices as required.
• Support issue resolution by researching status, product questions, shortages, delivery concerns, and documentation discrepancies.
