Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Facility Cognizant System Engineer (CSE) to provide lifecycle technical ownership of the Critical Assembly Facility (CAF) and support building systems at the Aalo-X site. This hands-on role requires deep understanding of facility design, configuration, and performance, with time spent in the field to inspect, repair, and improve systems.

You will ensure configuration baselines are upheld, support maintenance activities, and work with operators, contractors, and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of facility, plant, nuclear, construction, or maintenance engineering experience.
• Experience supporting operating buildings, industrial facilities, or infrastructure systems.
• Ability to interpret facility drawings, structures, specifications, calculations, and vendor documentation.
• Strong practical troubleshooting and field-engineering capability.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the facility working with operators and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead cognizant system engineering for the CAF facility and related SSCs.
• Maintain design basis, configuration control, interfaces, and documentation.
• Maintain Facility Design and System Description documents.
• Provide engineering support for facility repairs, modifications, and testing.
• Perform routine walkdowns and monitor condition of facility systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, structural, fire, and building systems.
