Job summary

New York University seeks a senior supervisor for its Cogeneration Plant Maintenance & Operations. You will oversee advanced technical and administrative activities, schedule preventative maintenance, and assist in planning and commissioning of expansion projects.

The role interfaces with Plant Management and directs day-to-day critical operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in MEP systems, at least 5 years in power plant or powerhouse maintenance, and relevant licenses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred: BS/Engineering in Mechanical, Marine or Facilities Eng; EIT or PE; Certified Energy Manager.
• Required Experience: 5 years in operation, maintenance and repair of major MEP equipment incl high pressure steam vessels, large chillers, steam, plumbing and electrical distribution.
• Preferred Experience: 5 years in operation, maintenance & repair of Powerhouse/Steam Plant equipment.
• Required Certifications: Refrigeration System Operator qualification (City of NY) and EPA CFC Technician Certification.
• Preferred Certifications: Stationary Engineer's License, SCADA, BMS, Water Treatment.

Responsibilities

• Performs supervisory, advanced technical and administrative supervision for Cogeneration Plant Maintenance & Operations shops.
• Provides support to the Sr, Manager & Maintenance Manager as directed.
• Directs and schedules the preventative maintenance and repair of Plant equipment.
• Assists Plant Management in the design, planning, installation, and commissioning of planned Plant Expansion.
