Overview

CoolSys Energy Solutions (CES) is seeking a CoGen Service Technician to inspect and diagnose on-site Power Generation and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of product offerings including CHP, Balance of Plant, control systems, and related assembly, repair, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Travel to job sites for preventive and corrective maintenance, mechanical & electrical repairs on engines, generators, and CHP equipment.
• Monitor system performance remotely, diagnose malfunctions, and provide solutions.
• Interface with system operators and field technicians, providing technical guidance.
• Perform engine overhauls, electrical & mechanical testing, calibration, and commissioning.
• Provide clear reports of work performed, observe and report conditions needing maintenance, and communicate promptly.
• Maintain project and service records diligently.
• Foster a positive team environment and adapt to diverse needs with flexibility.
• Participate in educational and product training to stay updated.

Qualifications

• Strong reciprocating engine and electrical background, with knowledge of internal combustion engines and generator sets, preferably natural gas engines.
• Experience with complex technologies like aircraft engines and turbines is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose and repair power systems independently.
• Basic knowledge of controls, safety shut-downs, circuit breakers, and wiring.
• Availability for overtime and travel, including weekends.
• Excellent communication skills, organized, dependable, and professional.
• Valid driver’s license and IP Networking knowledge beneficial.
