Job summary

Bradsby Group is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of a new Cogeneration facility at the Ingredion site in Indianapolis, IN. You will manage outages, safety, and performance of gas turbines and balance-of-plant systems.

The role requires supervisory experience in solid-fuel/biomass-type environments, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven leadership to guide commissioning, turnover, and long-term operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or 6+ years supervisory experience if no degree.
• Experience with biomass/biogas/wastewater tech is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory processes governing the facility.
• Strong organization and ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of power plant equipment and systems including gas turbines and boilers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly updates to Regional Manager and Director of Operations.
• Develop operating and safety procedures for new plant startup.
• Participate in daily construction meetings; oversee Cogen construction quality.
• Ensure commissioning/testing activities for safe turnover to operations.
• Collaborate with Controls Integrator and Commissioning Agents to optimize automation.
• Operate assets safely, efficiently, and environmentally responsible; meet contract deliverables.
• Supervise daily plant staff and lead Operating Engineers; manage vendors/contractors.
• Ensure adherence to commercial and contractual obligations; onsite liaison with customer.
• Help achieve financial goals; manage annual O&M budget and cost-saving measures.
• Conduct employee safety training.
