Job summary

Bradsby Group is seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the safe operation and management of staff at a biomass power-generating plant in California. The role directs maintenance personnel, manages predictive and preventive maintenance, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include directing contractors, optimizing CMMS work orders, budgeting maintenance activities, and training staff to uphold best practices in a safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a solid fuel fired power plant
• If no degree, at least 6 years supervisory experience
• Wood fired CFB boiler and Steam Turbine Generator operating experience is highly desired
• Thorough understanding of power plant operations and the maintenance function

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of the plant in full compliance with regulatory requirements
• Direct plant maintenance personnel and contractors to maintain plant reliability and efficiency
• Manage the CMMS work order program to allocate manpower, equipment and materials efficiently
• Schedule and manage preventive and predictive maintenance per equipment requirements
• Review and improve maintenance processes and ensure staff training and adherence to procedures
• Evaluate and budget maintenance activities to optimize cost, quality, and outage time
• Maintain communication with leadership and staff across departments
• Oversee overhauls by outside contractors or staff and manage inventory of spare parts
