The primary purpose of the Barista is to provide guests with an excellent café experience.

Work Performed:

• Provide high-quality guest service through outstanding interpersonal relations, informing guests about available food, beverage, retail items, and hotel amenities;
• Market available food, beverage, and gift shop items to guests;
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks according to recipes;
• Clean and disinfect the café;
• Maintain and refresh merchandise and food displays;
• Capture all sales according to company guidelines, including managing the cash drawer;
• Account for all cash and secure money drops according to company policy;
• Follow Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation, focusing on cleaning and sanitizing sinks, sideboards, and refrigerators;
• Rotate food daily and date all items;
• Follow safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions;
• Perform other duties as required to fulfill the primary purpose of the role.

Qualifications:

Required Prior Experience: Customer service experience

Preferred Prior Experience: Six months in food service preferred

Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Required Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety certification or training within 90 days; Alcohol certification or training within 90 days

Preferred Technology: Experience with Micros operating system preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally
• Bend and squat repeatedly
• Walk and stand for entire shift

Other:

• Flexible to work days, early mornings, weekends, and holidays shifts.
