Lacas Coffee Company in New Jersey is seeking a driven Roaster to join our production team. Daily roasting on the Jabez Burns R23 roaster with backup on a 30 kg Joper roaster, ensuring roast standards and logging data for traceability and consistency.

The role emphasizes quality control, cupping, HACCP/OSHA/FSMA compliance, and collaboration with management and warehouse teams to sustain product excellence and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Must have interest in the coffee industry and desire to expand knowledge.
• Reliability is essential with flexibility to meet production needs including weekends and early/late shifts.
• Computer literate and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task in a production environment and communicate clearly.
• Problem solver with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Accountable and performance-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Daily production roasting on Jabez Burns R23 roaster; backup roasting on 30 kilo Joper roaster.
• Set up and monitor each roast, record roast data and adjust to meet roast standards.
• Transfer and grind roasted coffee.
• Maintain quality through product analysis and cupping.
• Perform roaster maintenance and keep roasting area clean.
• Help maintain green coffee inventory records and usage.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, OSHA, FSMA and Lacas GMP/SOP/SSOP.
• Cooperate with management and warehouse functions to ensure product excellence and efficiency.
