Lacas Coffee Company in Morrisville, NJ is seeking a dedicated roaster to manage daily production roasting on the Jabez Burns R23 roaster, with backup on the 30 kilo Joper roaster. You will set up and monitor each roast, record data, and adjust to meet roast standards.

The role requires a HS diploma, interest in coffee, reliability, and strong communication. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a warm production area, often with long shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Interest in the coffee industry and willingness to expand knowledge.
• Reliability with flexibility for production and roasting demands, including weekends and varied shifts.
• Computer literacy and ability to perform basic math.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking in a production setting.
• Problem solving, accountability, and a positive attitude.

Responsabilités

• Daily production roasting on Jabez Burns R23; backup on 30 kilo Joper roaster.
• Set up and monitor each roast, record data, adjust to roast standards.
• Transfer and grind roasted coffee.
• Maintain quality awareness through regular product analysis and cupping.
• Perform roaster maintenance and roastery cleaning on a daily/weekly/monthly cadence.
• Help maintain green coffee inventory records and track usage.
• Comply with HACCP, OSHA, FSMA, GMP, SOPs and SSOPs.
• Collaborate with management/warehouse to ensure product excellence and efficiency.
• Embrace a culture of continuous improvement.
