Job summary

Java City is seeking a QA/QC Technician to ensure every coffee lot meets specifications on the roasting floor and in the cupping lab. You will sample and inspect green coffee, monitor moisture and roast color, cup production lots, and maintain accurate records for traceability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quality control or lab/production experience in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and packaging for specification conformance.
• Perform roast, moisture, weight, and defect checks; record results per quality plan.
• Conduct cupping sessions and log sensory data.
• Verify packaging, weights, labels, and allergen statements.
• Maintain sanitation and recordkeeping per food safety program.
• Support audits, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
• Operate and calibrate lab equipment; escalate out-of-spec findings.
