Job summary

Kuppa Joy Coffee House is hiring baristas in the Northern region to join a fast-paced, team-driven cafe focused on hospitality and high-quality beverages. You will engage guests, craft drinks to spec, and maintain smooth daily operations with a friendly attitude.

Minimum 25 hours per week, starting pay at $17.90 per hour plus tips. Benefits include medical for full-time staff, 401(k) with employer match, a complimentary shift drink, and an employee discount, with Sundays closed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Customer Experience & Hospitality

• Greet and engage guests warmly, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Deliver attentive, friendly, and solution-oriented customer service
• Represent Kuppa Joy's values through professionalism, teamwork, and attitude
• Resolve guest concerns respectfully and upscale when appropriate

Coffee & Beverage Excellence

• Prepare coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and quality standards
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in drink preparation
• Demonstrate willingness to learn about coffee, brewing methods, and product knowledge

Operations & Teamwork

• Operate POS/register systems accurately and responsibly
• Follow all cash handling and register procedures
• Support team members during peak periods to ensure smooth café operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, café areas, and equipment

Compliance & Standards

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Adhere to company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Complete required trainings and certifications in a timely manner

Physical & Scheduling Requirements (Essential Functions)

• Stand for extended periods of time
