Job summary

First Choice Coffee Services in Indianapolis, IN, is hiring a Service Technician to service and maintain our coffee brewing equipment at customer sites. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled service calls, install and remove equipment, train customers on proper use, and complete all paperwork accurately.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus a valid driver's license. DOT physical and certification may be required for the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Past Experience is a plus.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate, as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities on coffee brewing equipment, including emergency service calls, preventive maintenance, installations, and equipment removals at customer locations.
• Instruct customers on the proper use of coffee equipment, respond to inquiries, and communicate customer inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Complete all service calls and related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain proper parts inventory for assigned service vehicle and inventory parts monthly.
• Refurbish and repair coffee equipment for use at customer sites.
• Prepare records such as service orders and inventory in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure the service vehicle undergoes routine maintenance and that a valid driver’s license is maintained.
• Potentially assume route driver duties during vacations or other absences of regular drivers; perform other deliveries as needed.
