Job Summary

Summary: Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items. Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. Interacts with customers and staff in a friendly, courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS; accepts cash and card payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintains cleanliness of the service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Prepares food using approved recipes and standards.
• Keeps display equipment clean and debris-free during service.
• Thoroughly cleans equipment and workstation before leaving the area.
• Greets customers courteously, ensuring satisfaction, and relays concerns to supervisors.
• Serves customers efficiently, preventing delays.
• Understands menu items well and explains them accurately.
• Uses selling techniques to assist customer buying decisions.
• Merchandises display foods attractively and serves food neatly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
