Job summary

TOA is seeking a Coding Supervisor in Tennessee to lead a multi-coder team and ensure accurate, timely medical coding across the Revenue Cycle. You will mentor coders, provide guidance to the Coding Manager, and handle routine individual coding production.

The role emphasizes collaboration with providers and other departments, ensuring compliance and workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate holds CPC/CCS-P/COSC certifications, has at least 3 years of coding experience, and can reside in Middle

Qualifications

• Certification as CPC, CCS-P and/or COSC is required.
• Must reside and work in TN in the Middle TN, Knoxville, or Columbia area.
• Orthopaedic coding experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in all facets of medical office billing.
• Minimum 3 years coding experience; lead/supervisory background preferred.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coding team huddle and scheduling.
• Motivate and support coding team; address barriers to coding issues.
• Stay updated on current coding concepts and provide training as needed.
• Oversee HIPAA compliance and annual online training.
• Collaborate with Coding Manager to support providers and team.
• Assist in new coder training and hiring processes.
• Develop and update coding team workflow processes.
• Monitor coder accuracy and productivity; identify patterns and opportunities.
