Houston Methodist is seeking a Coding Quality Auditor who ensures accuracy in coding for outpatient and inpatient encounters based on documentation in the electronic medical record, while maintaining compliance with coding rules and regulatory guidelines. Qualificações

• Five years of coding experience in inpatient, outpatient, or professional coding.
• Associate degree or higher in a CAC/HIM accredited program; or two extra years of relevant experience.
• RHIT, RHIA, or CCS for inpatient/outpatient; CPC for professional coding.

Responsabilidades

• Interacts with coding team, physicians, IT, and operations to ensure accurate coding.
• Performs data quality reviews and supports performance improvement projects.
• Responds to queries and supports MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment and training.
