What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise, train, and coordinate the coding and abstracting functions within the Physician Enterprise Coding Department
- Validate coder productivity and accuracy, addressing coding questions submitted by staff
- Conduct annual employee evaluations and provide ongoing training to coding staff and outsourced vendors
- Stay updated on coding changes and communicate necessary updates to the coding team
- Lead and participate in special projects, including the design and maintenance of coding applications

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outpatient coding required
- At least 5 years of managerial experience with 5 or more direct reports required
- Proficient in Microsoft software and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Coding Specialist – Physician based (CCSP) certification preferred
- Prior management experience with remote employees preferred
- 3+ years of experience with electronic medical record applications and coding software preferred
- Current knowledge of outpatient coding and compliance processes
