Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes and payer requirements.
• Experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision over the coding staff to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Perform frequent audits to ensure documentation and billing accuracy.
• Provide documentation trainings to clinicians to maximize billing effort.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure coding accuracy and resolve issues.
• Monitor coding productivity and quality, implementing process improvements.
• Lead in CPT/ICD-10 coding principles, regulations and EMR usage.
• Oversee billing to Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payers per guidelines.
• Develop and monitor coding compliance policies and procedures.
