Responsibilities include managing claim edits and denials, collaborating with departments to resolve coding and CDM issues, and applying ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, CPT references to ensure accurate coding and compliant

Formación

• 3-5 years of experience in medical coding and billing.
• High school diploma or GED required; professional credentials preferred.
• One or more of RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, CCVTC or related AHIMA/AAPC credentials required.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate proficiency in working claim edits, denials and rejections to support revenue cycle goals with timely and accurate billing.
• Collaborate with other departments to alert and resolve coding issues, CDM issues and other compliance issues affecting reimbursement.
• Uses ICD-10-CM and PCS, HCPCS including CPT and other coding references to ensure accurate coding.
• Addresses NCCI, OCE, LCD and other coding edits as applicable.
