Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Coding Auditor to review medical records, ensure code accuracy, and educate coding staff and providers. The role emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to federal and state guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a coding certification and 4 years of coding experience, with strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 guidelines and supervision experience. On-site position in Reno, OH within Memorial Health System.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
• Coding certification (CCS, CPC, COC, CIC, RHIT, RHIA) with 4 years coding experience required.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages quality improvement audits and training of designated coding staff and providers.
• Researches, analyzes, and responds to inquiries regarding compliance, denials, and billable services.
• Acts as expert coding resource to coders, providers, and other departments.
• Provides technical support regarding coding compliance documentation and EMR.
• Develops and maintains coding policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Organizes and reports on internal quality reviews.
• Ensures audit recommendations are completed.
• Communicates denial trends and coding issues to management.
