Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement by proactively resolving medical coding claim defects before billing. You will play a vital role in optimizing our revenue cycle and maintaining financial integrity.

You will research and review coding-related claim denials, provide guidance on corrections, and address pre-billing resolution of coding defects to safeguard revenue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of coding experience or two years in a healthcare environment.
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA: CPC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA.
• Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and medical terminology.
• Ability to think critically, analyze data, and work with minimal supervision.
• Must handle deadlines and work under pressure.
