• Experience in code enforcement, building inspection, construction, land use, or public administration.
• State of Maine or ICC certifications preferred.
• Must be able to obtain State Code Enforcement Officer certification within 12 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee permitting, plan review, inspections, and code enforcement citywide.
• Serve as Health Officer and ADA Coordinator for the City.
• Supervise the Assistant Codes Enforcement Officer and an Administrative Assistant.
• Collaborate with property owners, contractors, developers, businesses, elected officials, and community partners.
