UC San Diego Health's Revenue Cycle department is seeking a skilled medical coder to translate anesthesia, pain management, and critical care notes into CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes to ensure accurate billing.
Under supervision, you will handle inpatient and outpatient documentation with potential for remote work. CPC/CCS certification and 3 years of anesthesia coding are preferred, along with Epic proficiency.

Under general supervision, the coder performs in-depth complex daily CPT, HCPC and ICD10 coding of inpatient, outpatient and clinical charge documents received from physicians for Anesthesiology , Pain Management and Critical Care procedures.
The coder is responsible to accurately interpret notes/diagnoses and to convert them into CPT/HCPC/ICD10 codes as appropriate in order to fully capture all billable services.
Annual Full Pay Range: $78,175 - $103,105 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.44 - $49.38
