Pay Rate: $19.89 - $27.85 / hour

This is a remote position. Incumbents residing in Florida may work remotely, with occasional on-site work at Lee Health locations.

Summary: Abstracts data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, coding diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines, including department modifications. Responsible for coding SDS, Observation, ED, Diagnostic, and Ancillary records, as well as Surgical Records, Evaluation & Management Encounters, and other professional fee records.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital or physician setting
• Certification in CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS, CRC, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA (minimum one required), with other certifications from AAPC or AHIMA considered
