We're seeking a skilled and experienced GIS Application & Database Developer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll be a key member of our Federal GIS team, supporting critical initiatives for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Responsibilities




  • Work closely with the GIS user community to determine specific application requirements and specifications.
  • Perform project planning, requirements analysis, database design, development and administration.
  • Work independently to maintain database dictionaries, ensure database performance and resolve problems.
  • Coordinate with GIS users to ensure implementation and monitoring of GIS databases.
  • Manage the design and development of GIS databases and related master files and ensure system capacity for current and future requirements.
  • Assist with the design and development of GIS applications and multi-layered maps.
  • Design and implement data conversion procedures and perform software and database quality control.





Qualifications




Requirements:

  • BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field w/GIS experience.
  • 2+ years of experience performing GIS and related development.
  • 1+ years of experience performing such activities for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications.
  • Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance or DHS suitability (Background Investigation).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

The pay range for this Washington DC position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are also offered to full-time employees, along with Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts, with employee and employer contributions.
