Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., in Shippensburg, PA, is seeking a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. The role involves chart assembly, coding, and abstracting, with responsibilities including responding to crises and managing patient records.

Qualifications include RHIT/CPC certification or equivalent and a high school diploma with coding/records experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with one year of coding and/or medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly and coding analysis.
• Computer abstracting of all discharged patient medical records.
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly.
• Retrieving charts from the floor.
• Putting them together.
• Checking for missing signature.
• Handling loose filings.

Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. This is a Monday thru Friday position.

Job Duties and Responsbilities:

• Chart assembly, chart analysism coding.
• Computer abstracting of all discharged patient medical records
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly
• Retrieving charts from the floor
• Putting them together
• Checking for missing signature
• Handling loose filings
